Brendan McGill is a frontend developer with a passion for creating applications that have a positive social and environmental impact. With over 8 years of relevant experience, Brendan has a unique background in urban and environmental studies, which he leverages to develop innovative solutions that address real-world problems. Currently, Brendan works as a Software Development Engineer at Esri, where he supports the StoryMaps team. Previously, he co-founded Offsetra, a company that enables users to purchase carbon offsets from certified projects and advised blockchain projects and traditional companies on how to achieve their sustainability goals. Brendan also worked as a Frontend Developer at ioki – a db company, where he helped build the navigation app for drivers using React Native and TypeScript. Brendan holds a Master of Science in Environmental Governance from the University of Freiburg and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Planning (Urban Studies/Planning Track) from Sonoma State University. He also has a minor in German Language from both Sonoma State University and Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen. Brendan's tech stack includes Frontend, Software Engineer, Blockchain, TypeScript, Web3, and React Native. He is passionate about using his skills to create applications that have a positive impact on society and the environment.
