Dipesh Kumar Singh is a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning engineer who is currently serving as the Vice President of Machine Learning at Morgan Stanley. With a passion for problem-solving, innovation, and building large scale intelligent systems, Dipesh has a proven track record of developing innovative data solutions that involve large scale data mining, information retrieval, NLP, and Computer Vision research. Dipesh has extensive experience in Hadoop and its ecosystem components, along with Unix & Database systems. He has built data pipelines to process large data sets, conducted heavy coding and research to implement classification and clustering algorithms in complex business scenarios, and implemented search solutions that later turned out to be enterprise-wide initiatives to transform search in various front-end services. Dipesh has also worked with compute engines like Apache Spark on HDFS, Greenplum, and Teradata, and has experience with NoSQL systems. Dipesh's specialties include Machine Learning, Cyber Security Analytics, Streaming (Kafka), and large scale data analytics. He is skilled in shell scripting, Java, Unix, SQL, Hadoop & ecosystem components (Spark, Hive, Avro, etc.), Solr, Teradata, Greenplum, and Python. Dipesh has managed a team of software engineers, including task planning and code reviews, and has balanced and prioritized multiple concurrent high-impact projects effectively in a fast-paced environment. He has built a Recommendation Engine and Sentiment analysis of grievance portal. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Dipesh worked at Prudential Financial as a Big Data Solution Engineer, where he led the technical design, implementation, and delivery of a model to predict return to work and disability transition from short term to long term to enhance customer service in group insurance business. He also contributed to the design and development of a risk assessment mortality model to fast pace the Insurance underwriting workflow. Dipesh has also worked at TCS as an IT Analyst, where he worked on ETL, Analytics on Hadoop, Data Integration, Teradata, Greenplum in an enterprise data warehouse. Dipesh holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, where he is currently pursuing his degree, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences.
