Pratik Roy is a passionate and skilled firmware developer with experience in working with medical devices. He is well-versed in different types of sensors and integration with industry-grade microcontrollers with a good understanding of various protocols and interfaces used. Pratik is proficient in technologies such as C, Embedded C, C++, STM32, MbedOS, RTOS, TI-RTOS, BLE, SPI, I2C, UART, Sensors, Bootloader, Sensor data analytics, MISRA-C, Static Analysis, Firmware security, and encryption. Pratik is currently working as a Junior Firmware Developer at Surgeonslab AG, where he has designed a software-controlled medical device with multiple actuation working in a real-time environment with minimum latency. He built the firmware on Mbed-OS following the MISRA-C standards and optimized it using SAST tools. He also developed on-the-fly firmware upgrades with software bootloader, handling power failures, and various error handling mechanisms. Previously, Pratik worked as a Junior Firmware Developer Intern at Curneu, where he designed an optimized and secured firmware for a medical device by integrating sensors with the BLE enabled micro-controller from Texas Instruments. He built several modules and libraries from scratch and deployed a real-time system following the ISO-62304 standards of coding. He also worked as a Summer Intern at Sunlux Technovations. Pratik completed his Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology in 2021. Pratik is passionate about making products intelligent and real-time with sensors and cutting-edge protocols.
