Rahul Babbar is a highly experienced Lead Backend Architect currently working at JioMedia. With a career spanning over 15 years, Rahul has a proven track record of success in the technology industry. Currently, he is leading the backend architecture team at JioMedia and has been instrumental in setting up the on-premise Kubernetes with CI/CD and DevOps for the company. He is also working closely with multiple teams like JioTv, JioNews, JioANPR, and JioTV+ to help them transition to microservices on Kubernetes. Rahul has developed the JioNews application from scratch and is a part of the JioMedia Tech Council Group. Before joining Jio, Rahul worked at Times Internet as a Backend Architect/Engineering Manager and Technical Team Lead. At Times Internet, he setup and managed Redis clusters consisting of user profiles of ~350 million users, developed an A/B testing framework for Adtech stack, and implemented an algorithm for predicting the gender of the user using their browsing history with 72% precision for Colombia Adtech Stack. Rahul has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from IIT and possesses a wide range of technical skills such as Senior Software Engineer, Backend, Kubernetes, Microservices, DevOps, test, and Redis. He is a result-oriented professional with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong ability to work in a team.
