Shruti Kela is an accomplished MBA candidate at Wharton with a strong background in remote operations and sustainability. She currently works as a Project Leader/Fellow at insite, where she is responsible for managing and executing projects related to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Prior to her current role, Shruti worked at Schlumberger for almost five years, where she held various positions, including General Field Engineer & Remote Operations Team Lead and Senior Field Engineer- Wireline & Remote Operations. In these roles, she was responsible for developing and implementing remote operations in different locations across Asia and Australia, and successfully delivered wireline services even during the COVID-19 crisis. She also oversaw the implementation of new tools and software and offered data acquisition expertise in determining the feasibility of drilling and oil production. Shruti holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Production Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, and is currently pursuing her MBA at Wharton, which she expects to complete in 2022. With her experience in remote operations and sustainability, Shruti is passionate about making a positive impact on society and the environment. She is also an Antarctic Youth Ambassador, which reflects her commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability. Shruti is a quick learner and has a strong work ethic, which has helped her achieve remarkable success in her career so far.
