Xuedong Zhang is a passionate engineer with a wealth of experience in programming, signal processing, and mathematical modeling. He has knowledge across different levels of implementation, including FPGA/RTL, DSP/C, and high-level C++ and Python. Xuedong is particularly interested in areas of machine learning, computational linguistics, speech signal processing (recognition, perception, coding), psycho-acoustics, neuroscience, hearing aids, acoustic signal processing, and biomedical signal processing. Xuedong is currently working as an Engineering Manager at Meta, where he is responsible for managing a team of engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. Prior to this, he worked at Facebook as an Engineer Manager and Staff Research Scientist. Xuedong has an impressive educational background, having completed a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University, an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Southeast University, and a BS in Biomedical Engineering (Honor Class) from Southeast University. He also attended Suzhou High School. Xuedong's technical skills include Senior Software Engineer, ML, Research Scientist, Software Engineer, and Python. He has a strong command of C, C++, DSP/Embedded, Python, Verilog, System C, and Matlab. With over 19 years of relevant experience, Xuedong has developed a deep understanding of speech/acoustic/audio signal processing, neural computation, machine learning, and psychoacoustics. Xuedong is a highly motivated individual with a passion for innovation and technology. He is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow.
