Nivaaz is a self-taught software engineer and entrepreneur with a background in electrical engineering. She has a proven track record of conquering her goals despite the odds stacked against her. In 2019 alone, she interned at an engineering consultancy, trading company, and Australia's biggest unicorn tech startup while doing her honours thesis in quantum engineering and building her startup, Sukara Engineering. As a self-taught developer, Nivaaz has experience in System Verilog (FPGA development) in high-speed trading and quantum engineering, as well as ReactJS, jQuery, Typescript, HTML, CSS, and NodeJS in the tech startup space. She is currently a Growth Engineer at Eucalyptus, where she analyzes customer insights and runs experiments on features that will drive metrics up. Nivaaz has over five years of exceptional leadership, communication, and mentoring experience built through her roles as an Academic Coach & Mentor and Team Leader at Art of Smart Education, as well as President, Vice President & Industry Liaison of The Women in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications (TWEET). She has also been involved in numerous volunteering activities. In her spare time, Nivaaz enjoys writing about her experiences and learnings on Medium, prototyping designs for products on Figma & Codepen, and painting or trying to pat all the dogs in Sydney. Nivaaz has worked as a Product & Frontend Engineer at m8buy, where she engineered the frontend of the m8buy widget using ReactJS, Webpack, and Babel. She also conducted user research & experience testing and extrapolated common pain points to guide customer-driven feature design. At Antler, Nivaaz was the youngest entrepreneur in the cohort and won the "Spirit of Antler" award in Week 3 & 11. Nivaaz holds a BE/ME in Electrical Engineering from UNSW Australia and completed her high school education at Cerdon College Merrylands. Her tech stack includes Frontend, ReactJS, Typescript, Software Engineer, test, product designer, Javascript, Research Scientist, and NodeJS. With 3.45 years of relevant experience, Nivaaz is a driven and talented engineer and entrepreneur.
