Vishal S. is a seasoned product builder with over 7.5 years of experience in building consumer internet products. He has managed full-scale products as part of 2-3 staffed product management teams and is equally comfortable with being on the treadmill and yet having a 30,000 ft view of things. To date, he has worked on 9 full-scale products (early stage or growth stage) across 4 industries in Dating/ Matchmaking, Wedding services, Media entertainment, edtech and now E-commerce. Vishal has worked on Acquisition through Monetization across most of these products. This coupled with him wearing the hat of a core pm, growth pm and platform pm as per the org need has given him a wider and fuller perspective on managing Products. Vishal is passionate about obsessing over his users' needs and frustrations and unlocking the next innovative solutions that give user and business value. He loves to collaborate and provide a platform for his counterparts in product (Design, Tech, Ops, etc.) to share their POV, raise the bar and build the right product and build it right. Vishal is a lifelong learner in product management and loves to talk about his observations and learnings on LinkedIn. Currently, Vishal is working as a Product Manager at Meesho. In his previous role as a Senior Product Manager at Vedantu, he built the 'WAVE' platform, which enables LIVE online classroom experience for Students, Teachers, and Content creators. At People Interactive, Vishal grew product revenues by ~3X over 2 years and co-managed to do a user participated online pilot, which had immense potential to revolutionize matchmaking. Vishal holds a PGDBM degree in Business Administration and Management, Marketing from Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship Education, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai. Apart from his work, Vishal loves to chalk up travel plans, cook up new dishes, create art, or watch anime. His tech stack includes Product Manager and Test, and he has 10.53 years of relevant experience.
