Aakash Banik is an Operations Research Scientist with a passion for applying operations research and machine learning techniques to solve large scale real-world problems and create value for businesses. He specializes in supply chain design, machine learning, optimization, analytics, logistics & network optimization, agile methodology, and statistical modelling. Aakash has over 3 years of relevant experience, working with Advanced Analytics and developing software solutions for solving complex combinatorial-optimization problems. He is proficient in optimization techniques & modeling, optimization solvers, optimization programming languages, programming languages, statistical tools, database tools, and other tools. He is also well-versed in methodologies/practices such as Agile, Scrum, and Test-Driven Development. Currently, Aakash is working as a Data Scientist II at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Prior to this, he worked as a Senior Operations Research Scientist and an Operations Research Scientist at Optym. He has also completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Operations Research from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Statistics from the University of Calcutta. Aakash's technical skills include Research Scientist, Data Scientist, Python, ML, SQL, test, and MySQL.
