Aamir Shah is a skilled Sr. Engineering Manager with over 11 years of industry experience and a passion for building teams, processes, and products that solve complex problems and turn concepts into smart solutions. He is currently building Project44's Bangalore Centre of Excellence and has previously worked with Nutanix, where he led a team of 20+ engineers across geographies, driving growth and innovation for their core UI product, Prism. Aamir also built Flipkart's Payment UI Stack, driving sales on both web and mobile, with the capacity to bear the load of the Big Billion Day sale. At Nutanix, Aamir took over a small 4 member UI team and groomed it to 21 developers at its peak across geographies (Bangalore, Pune, Warsaw, Berlin, San Jose). He was responsible for the entire Prism India UI team's delivery, execution, and operations, and started the Prism Team in Pune location, establishing it as a center of excellence over the years. He drove the effort to introduce Unit Testing and took the coverage to >90%, mentored multiple junior folks, and groomed them over years as senior developers. Aamir also had active participation in design docs and technical implementation of complex stuff and ensured the lowest attrition in the entire org, with most of the team members completing a few years in Nutanix. Aamir's experience at Nutanix also includes delivering Disaster Recovery (DR) as a Service as a hybrid application that works both on-premise and on Cloud. He ensured the quality of the UI features, mentored junior folks, actively participated in code reviews, and reviewed and wrote Design Documents across teams. Aamir holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science & Engineering from PES University and a Master of Science - Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University. He is proficient in Senior Software Engineering, UI, Mobile, Web, Test, and Software Engineering, with relevant experience of 10.78 years.
