Aaneesh Passi is an accomplished leader in the digital ecosystem with over 19 years of experience in senior management and entrepreneurship. He has been exposed to multiple industries and roles in his career, from consumer banking sales to wealth management, client management, talent acquisition, and entrepreneurship. He has had the opportunity to work in some of the largest global organizations to mid-sized companies and to build his own enterprise. Currently, Aaneesh is the Founder & CEO of Basil Advisors, an executive search firm in the digital space, focusing on early, growth, and established stages in emerging technologies and consumer internet space. They specialize in hiring leadership and critical hires for companies at various stages of evolution in the consumer internet and emerging technology. Aaneesh specializes in building teams and processes from scratch and managing multi-stakeholders at CXO level, both internal and external. Prior to founding Basil Advisors, Aaneesh was the Head of Talent Acquisition and Executive Search at Warner Bros. Discovery, where he led talent acquisition for both legacy Warner Media and Discovery portfolios in India. He was also a part of the growth story of Hotstar, which later became part of the global media giant, Disney. He managed multiple projects to lead talent acquisition and built initial teams and processes for Disney+ Hotstar India and International (US, UK), Data Science and Technology - Star India, and Disney+ Southeast Asia - Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand. Aaneesh has also worked as a Partner for leadership hiring at Optum | UnitedHealth Group, bringing innovation and disruption in the healthcare industry. He led talent acquisition for leadership roles across India and the Philippines and built a robust in-house hiring team/capability. Aaneesh is a graduate of The Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi, and has a degree in High School. He is skilled in search and data science and has relevant experience of 19.37 years.
