Aaron Bradley is a Software Architect at Stitch Fix, with over 7 years of relevant experience in designing and building systems that solve tangible problems. He is a tinkerer in a modern data org and enjoys working on 0-to-1 projects with considerable uncertainty. Aaron is less of a 1-to-100 person and prefers to lay the groundwork for future development, take a crack at a thorny issue, and iterate quickly in a low-process environment. Aaron previously led the experimentation platform at Stitch Fix, having built it from scratch. He is a strong proponent of data-driven decision making for organizations and loves discussing when/if experimentation programs make sense. He enjoys figuring out how to arm decision makers with information to make the best decision possible in the face of uncertainty. In the past, Aaron has worked with generalized linear mixed effects models and glms in recommender systems in R, Python, and Spark. He enjoys working with ML systems from the prototyping phase through to production deployment and measurement. Aaron has worked with several companies in the past, including Netflix, where he served as a Senior Data Scientist. He designed, ran, analyzed, and communicated the results of AB tests for recommendation algorithms. He also spent a good deal of time building back-end tooling to automate repetitive tasks and allow their experimentation team to focus on statistical methodology. Aaron holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Physics, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics and Chemistry, all from the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Denver.
