Aaron Cooper is a highly experienced Sr. Infrastructure Security Manager with over 20 years of experience working in a variety of enterprise infrastructures. He holds certifications in CISSP, CEH, and GIAC. Throughout his career, he has managed and designed secure network environments to meet the needs of financial and corporate customers. He has also led formal classroom training and created manuals for new users. Aaron's specialization includes managing security operations centers, designing and implementing highly secure and available data networks while maintaining HIPAA, SOX, and PCI compliance. He has extensive experience with a number of intrusion detection products, multiple load-balancing products, and different firewall solutions. Currently, Aaron is the Security Operations Manager at Tripactions.com, where he is responsible for building a security operations center from the ground up. He has built proof of concept for Devo and Splunk SIEM’s and implemented SIEM with cloud data sources. He has also created playbooks and SOP for multiple incident responses, developed a ticket handling process with integration with Slack, Pagerduty, and Jira, and led several fraud and critical cyber investigations with legal and law enforcement. Aaron has maintained several compliance standards protecting the business from extra regulations and has led hiring efforts nationwide for SOC engineers. He has also simplified fraud detection and merged multiple teams into a single cohesive team and created documentation for existing and future standards of incident response. In his previous role at Roku as an Infrastructure Security Manager, Aaron developed an enterprise logging solution with security alerting and SIEM functionality with SumoLogic. He identified, responded, and prevented attacks to a diverse infrastructure that includes SAAS and multi-cloud resources and ensured PCI compliance. He served as a subject matter expert for IT policy creation/best practices, created corporate security education campaigns with an emphasis on phishing detection and response, and led the incident response team. Aaron was also the primary lead engineer on Zero-Trust initiative with Microsoft Azure, new endpoint protection, and MFA. Aaron has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University and holds several certifications, including CISSP, CEH, and GIAC. He has completed National Security Policy Studies from Stanford University and Certified HIPAA Professional from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
