Aaron Zhou is a highly experienced and results-driven Regional Sales Engineer and Solution Architect with over 17 years of experience in technical program management and product development. He has a strong background in enabling clients and partners in digital transformation with open source, private and hybrid cloud, database consolidation, security, core banking, payment, blockchain, and digital asset custody solutions on the IBM Z, LinuxONE, and Storage Systems. Aaron is skilled in working with various stakeholders to prioritize activities and achieve business success. He has in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes. He is a motivated self-starter with the eagerness to continue to learn and develop new skills in an industry that is continually challenging. Currently, Aaron is working as a Regional Sales Engineer at Checkmarx. Prior to this, he has worked as a Senior Solution Architect at Chef Software and as an IBM Z & LinuxONE Business Partner and ISV Technical Solutions Architect at IBM. At IBM, Aaron led solution design and discovery workshops with clients, business partners, and ISVs to define and manage business and technical requirements, evaluate and validate technologies, propose optimal solutions in various stages of the sales process. He also architected and designed solution proposals with clients and partners for the migration of multi-tier environments from Oracle Exadata, x86-based, IBM Power, Oracle SPARC to IBM LinuxONE + Storage platforms. Aaron also partnered with clients and business partners as a technical advocate for IBM Cloud Infrastructure Center, Red Hat OpenShift, and IBM Cloud Pak solutions and drove related hybrid cloud sales initiatives in the region. He co-created enterprise solutions with internal teams, business partners, and ISVs and managed the implementation of PoTs, PoCs, and benchmarks to demonstrate the capabilities of the solutions on IBM Z, Linux-ONE, and Storage platforms. Aaron holds a Master's degree in Computer Control and Automation from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering & Its Automation from Nanjing University of Science and Technology. He is proficient in Kubernetes, DevOps, Senior Software Engineer, Blockchain, GAN, AWS, Azure, GCP, and infra.
