Aashni Shah is a highly accomplished Founder and CEO with over 7 years of experience in the technology industry. Currently, she is the Founder and CEO of Hype Docs, a company that helps individuals track their personal achievements and gain confidence while overcoming imposter syndrome. Aashni is known for her exceptional leadership skills and her ability to build and manage high-performing teams. Prior to founding Hype Docs, Aashni was the Founder and CEO of Taonga, where she created a product that allowed users to securely store and share their personal documents. She was also the CEO of Elixir Labs, a non-profit startup that partnered with other non-profits to build technical solutions for social good. Aashni's current partnerships include empowering women in Kenya, human rights and social justice in Jamaica, and anti-slavery work. In the past, she has also worked in the education space in Nepal and India and helped build a tech community in the Caribbean Islands. Aashni has a strong educational background, having completed an Honors Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Toronto. She also attended the International School of Kenya and Kenton College Preparatory School. Aashni has a diverse tech stack, including experience in web development, software engineering, QA, search, mobile, and backend development. Throughout her career, Aashni has demonstrated her ability to develop a product vision with non-profit partners and stakeholders, identify pain points, and analyze potential solutions. She has launched two projects and is currently working on three active development projects globally. Aashni has managed and collaborated with teams comprising of product managers, designers, and developers, using tools such as Trello for tickets, Figma for designs, and Slack and Google's enterprise tools for communication. She has also made initial technology assessments and selections for each project while prioritizing developer ease of use and customer's ability to maintain the project. Aashni has monitored and optimized team processes such as code review guidelines, which led to faster onboarding for new members to contribute with a sprint.
