I led the Music Free Tier's migration efforts for modernizing internal backend services. I architected and implemented new microservices, utilizing CDK for Infrastructure as Code, atop of AWS Services: ECS, Fargate, ElasticLoadBalancer, VPC, S3, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Route53, SNS, SQS. 

I also coordinated multiple projects by having design reviews, solidifying requirements with PMs & TPMs, delegating work to sub-team members, and balancing timelines with some away teams support models.

Under the CSE Department, I served as an assistant for my three favorite classes that I believe separate programmers from engineers.  

Operating Systems, with Professor Joseph Pasquale (Jan  - March '17)  (http://cseweb.ucsd.edu/classes/wi17/cse120-a/)

This class focused on teaching the underlying principles of the kernel. Namely: threads, CPU scheduling, resource allocation, memory allocation, file systems, I/O  security, and an introduction to distributed computing. Under Professor Pasquale, our jobs as tutors were to facilitate students on solving their programming assignments. The PAs consisted of implementing different features of the kernel (written in C), including a CPU scheduler,  semaphores and a thread package.

Under Ranjit, this iteration of Programming Languages begins by focusing on teaching students the underlying mechanisms for which all modern languages are built upon - Lambda Calculus. The course then will shift to using Haskell and OCaml to learn about recursion, higher order functions, environments (in which they implement a Lexer and Parse for a language). The course will wrap up with a bit of imperative and logic programming in Scala.

I was a full stack engineering intern with a focus on NodeJS and front end technologies (HTML, CSS, and Javascript) on the Public Key Infrastructure team at GoDaddy. Our responsibilities include:

- engineering the infrastructure for sales, delivery and installation of SSL certificates
- testing and improving a proprietary Node web application for our customer support teams

In my initial week, I was taking requests from the heads of the call center team for UI changes. Then, I started having consistent meetings with team leads, which gave me a basic understanding of how the administrators use the application and what they are looking forward to in future iterations. It was when I shadowed the administrators and call center employees that I got a true understanding of how the application is used amongst all levels. This let me reengineer the UI and functionality of the web application and increase productivity.

My last project was creating a Node web application for parsing CSR certificates and decoding/testing SSL connections. This application is for customers to see if their certificate is valid and set up properly. Some of these tests include date validation, chain validation, OCSP validation and stapling, etc. I wrote the app with ES6 syntax, Promises and hints of functional programming to ensure a cleanly written, easily testable application.

Mimicked their database using MySQL Workbench to test SQL updates, and later used the scripts to repair their database.

Utilized Bash Scripts, Python and Tkinter to wrap command line programs in simple GUIs for non technical users.

Obtained the floating point values of ECG signals from WAV files, then manipulated the binary to fit the MIT16 Standard.

Created several screens for an embedded system using Qt, QtCreator, and C++.
