Abbas Muhammad is a highly experienced System Architect with over 14 years of software engineering experience. He has spent over 12 years designing and developing Java applications, with a particular focus on implementing FinTech solutions over the past 7 years. Abbas has also spent 4 years adopting Healthcare standards and has completed an MS majoring in Advance Databases Topics, as well as an MS research in Interoperability Of Healthcare Standards Using Semantic Web Ontology. He is an Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 8 Programmer. Abbas has a strong technical background in Java 11, Java EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Oracle Exadata, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, WebLogic, Payara, Linux, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, Data Structures, and Algorithms. Abbas is currently working as a Team Lead at bitoasis, where he is leading the development of a Centralized Cryptocurrency Exchange able to process 7 million orders per hour. He has architected ten scalable microservices for AWS Managed Kubernetes, designed and configured CI/CD using Maven, GitHub Actions, Shell Scripts, Docker, Kubernetes/Helm, and fine-tuned microservices for optimal performance. Prior to his current role, Abbas worked as a Chief Engineer at rakuten, where he led a team of developers and upgraded web-apps to Java EE 7 Web profile and migrated to Payara. He also designed and implemented a REST framework to replace EJB invocations with REST SOA and parallelized financial batches using Hadoop. Abbas has also worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at zigron, where he developed data services for EMPI, PIX, PDQ, and XDS according to IHE specifications and implemented SOAP and RESTful web services for PIX, PDQ, HPD, and Terminology. He also designed and developed a TV subscription module offering more than 400 channels and implemented credit card processing using YourPay payment processing API. Abbas holds a Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology from the National University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from the Virtual University of Pakistan.
