Abdul Rasheed is a versatile Product Leader with a passion for business and numbers, as well as people and values. With almost 19 years of relevant experience, Abdul has a solid background in Product Management, Product Marketing, and Strategy. Currently, he is working on building fascinating things in the cloud at Clumio, the Netflix of data management, as a Product Leader for App Modernization. Abdul's career highlights include leading product strategy for Rubrik, the fastest-growing data management company in the valley at that time. He strategized product investments to grow the company from $100M/year to $300M/year run rate. He was also part of a small incubation startup within Symantec that took the hardware platform group from 0 to $200 million in less than 2 years. Abdul holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut. He is nerdy on all things data and has a solid tech stack that includes AWS, SQL, Microservices, Product Manager, and Web. Abdul has worked with Amazon in the past, where he was the Product Leader for Rehost, Replatform, and Reinvent SQL Server in AWS. He was responsible for all things SQL Server on AWS for migrations and modernization, including SQL Server on EC2, RDS SQL Server, and Babelfish for Aurora PostgreSQL. He was also the Strategy and GTM lead for SQL Server Community engagements. At Clumio, Abdul has been instrumental in envisioning and building Clumio Discover, a top-of-the-funnel SaaS application that helps enterprises know their customers and market better. He has also led the development of Mission Minnesota, a vision and strategy to turn the sunk costs of protecting data into time-series data lakes. Abdul has eight patents pending and has extended the capabilities of Mission Minnesota to SQL Server running in VMware Cloud on AWS.
