Abhay Gupta is a dreamer, hustler, and a storyteller who is currently building something fresh in stealth mode. He is the Co-Founder of a startup that is disrupting an industry with a vision to change the game. Abhay has a background in Electronics and Communications Engineering and holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from Jaypee University. He also completed the Y Combinator Startup School online program in Entrepreneurship in 2019. Abhay's entrepreneurial journey began when he founded a venture called Ficting, which aimed to disrupt the reading segment. Ficting was entirely bootstrapped and incubated at IIT-Kanpur in India. Abhay received a fellowship from NTT Data and got an opportunity to pitch to Tim Draper, the American VC and founder of Draper Associates, in India. As a result, Abhay emerged as one of the 4 shortlisted winners out of 50 startups that pitched him in-person, and Ficting received an invite from Meet The Drapers Season 4 Show. Abhay has also been featured on YourStory and other local news channels. Abhay has delivered various talks on Entrepreneurship, including at colleges like Hansraj, DU. He has built a Bluetooth controlled Robot Car windows phone application, and the research paper for the same was published in Springer. Abhay won a Nokia Lumia 820 device from Nokia & DVLUP when he was a sophomore in college. Abhay's tech stack includes research scientist, and he has 2.68 years of relevant experience.
