Abhi P is a passionate and experienced Sr. Staff Infosec Analyst at Micron with over 10 years of IT experience in security. He has worked in various roles such as Security Trainer and System Admin, and has also worked as a freelancer for 1.5 years. Abhi is currently working on real-time problems of Cyber Security and providing solutions. He is researching and developing an automated tool that reduces human effort, captures threats accurately, and alerts which can help in taking action before damage occurs. Abhi has improved detection capabilities by creating 100+ use cases using Splunk. He has also built new SOC teams and is a member of the Technical panel for conducting technical rounds of interviews. Abhi is a Certified Great People Manager by Great Place to Work institute and has been shortlisted for the Top 100 Great People Managers Spot which gets published in leading publications like Forbes. Abhi has worked with Micron Technology as a Staff Infosec Analyst and has built new SOC teams. He actively participates in hiring new team members, adheres to policies and procedures, and creates motivational strategies to drive quality performance. Abhi also manages and develops SOC team members, including mentoring and capability/skill development. He analyzes new log sources/data feeds, performs quality audits on handled incidents of L1, L2 & L3, drives sensitive investigations and major incidents, creates/enhances new alerts and dashboards, and identifies threats and performs investigation of threat advisories/feeds within the environment. Abhi has also worked with Oracle as a Security Analyst. He created detections and scheduled them as real-time alerts, performed threat hunts to check the traces of the latest attacks and vulnerabilities, analyzed and responded to the incidents, created complex rules in Splunk, created run books for the detections, peer-reviewed the alerts created by others, and gave on-call support as required. Abhi completed his B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad. He conducts quizzes on Cyber Security and Security Sessions with other employees to make them aware of the latest security updates. Abhi is a head for one of the Sub Councils of Tech Mahindra Hyderabad. Abhi's relevant experience is 8.95 years.
