Abhijay Vuyyuru is an MBA candidate at Harvard Business School with around five years of international work experience managing and delivering AI products in geographies of Kuala Lumpur, Switzerland, and France. He has worked as a Data Scientist with Hilti Group for two years, before transitioning to the role of Product Owner/Product Manager. He has led cross-functional international teams across Europe to deliver value-generating AI products. Abhijay has also worked pro-bono under the SDG Vertical reporting to Adviser, NITI Aayog, drafting technology strategies on achieving the sustainable development goals and leading the development of the SDG India Index and Dashboard 2019-20. Currently, he works as a Product Owner where he discovers avenues to improve the customer experience of 3M+ users by leveraging analytics. Abhijay holds a B. Tech and an M. Tech in Computer Science from IIIT Bangalore. He has experience in product management, AI, data science, research, and machine learning. He has worked with various tech stacks such as product manager, AI, data scientist, research scientist, ML, and web. Abhijay has worked with Hilti Group in various roles, including Business Analyst, Office of the CPO, and Data Scientist Global Team. He co-led a team of 10 to replace their 10-year-old legacy architecture with an event-driven one, leading to 300x improvement and a 20% YoY increase in online sales orders. Additionally, he mentored 100+ participants across the world for Hilti Innovation Challenge 2021, enabling Hilti to hire 5% of them for driving new initiatives in emerging technology, saving ~$200K+ in hiring costs. Abhijay is a school topper, scoring 94% in the ICSE Examination from Vidyaranya High School, Hyderabad. He is currently pursuing an MBA from Harvard Business School, which he will complete in 2024. He also holds an MBA (dropped out) from IIM.
