Abhijit Panchakshari is a Senior Software Engineer at Rivian with a passion for solving complex problems and building game-changing products. With over 5 years of relevant experience in the field, Abhijit has a strong background in software engineering, AWS, CI/CD, Kubernetes, integration, Java, Javascript, infrastructure, web, ReactJS, and Kotlin. At Rivian, Abhijit has been responsible for re-designing the company's legacy identity management API and integrating it with 65 partner teams to provide high performance, availability, and scalability. He collaborated with several teams to reduce Rivian's Identity API latency by 80% and decrease the number of Kubernetes pods required to run the service by 90%, resulting in a substantial reduction in infrastructure costs. Abhijit also migrated up to 10k/sec identity data from Amazon Aurora to Amazon DynamoDB using data migration scripts without any data loss. He implemented a framework to support Rivian's legacy identity API in backward-compatible mode using hexagonal architecture to facilitate the seamless transition to the newer identity APIs. Abhijit also developed a multi-factor authentication layer that supports text message authentication as a second factor and automated the migration of database schemas as part of the CI/CD pipeline using Alembic, Kubernetes, and Gitlab Continuous Integration to unify disparate data schemas and databases, thus saving more than 80% of the development time. Prior to joining Rivian, Abhijit worked at Carfax as a Software Engineer, where he collaborated with cross-functional teams to create an efficient and robust authentication process by introducing a universal login page and social login with Facebook, Apple, and Google. He also engineered a process to synchronize communication preferences of users, boosting lead generation by 25%. Abhijit designed and implemented Carfax For Claims RESTful API using GraphQL, allowing integration and expansion with the largest insurance claims customers and prospects. Additionally, he built a console for Carfax partners with a team of 4 developers using JavaScript, ReactJS, Auth0 management API, and Kotlin, allowing partner apps to communicate with Carfax APIs securely via OAuth2 standard flows.
