Abhilash Lakkur is a Senior Architect at Capillary Technologies, with over 14 years of relevant experience in designing and developing systems. He has previously worked as a Team Lead at Capillary Technologies, where he worked on the Conquest OLAP engine. Abhilash was involved in developing a new data transformation pipeline using the big data stack involving Hive, HBase, and Phoenix. He also worked on an active-passive switch-over mechanism for higher availability of the system. Abhilash was responsible for developing dashboards working off summary tables for really quick response times. He also implemented parallel query execution based on the query dependency for UI responsiveness. Abhilash partitioned the data sync files based on tenant geo zones hierarchy, which reduced billing costs for the company by cutting down on network transfer charges in AWS and also improved experience on the client module. Abhilash has also worked on the EMF and Points Engine modules at Capillary Technologies. He was responsible for developing an in-house rule engine with a custom expression language, with tenant-specific grammar. Abhilash was also responsible for the loyalty module, which is at the core of the CRM for Capillary, which handles credit-debit of customers. He developed an offline batch processing module for points expiry, tier downgrades, reminders, scheduled offers, etc. Abhilash migrated the online legacy OLTP credit-debit system, in phases, onto this module seamlessly with configuration and data sanity and almost no downtime. He also migrated an existing Dynamic Coupon System based on Drools. Abhilash has worked on InTouch Client and InTouch Server modules at Capillary Technologies. He was responsible for developing and refactoring the store server module to support multiple internal client terminals and a shared database. Abhilash developed the background sync module to improve responsiveness and availability of the client. He also developed a deployment server, which helped ease the binary releases and saved a lot of time. Abhilash has also implemented caching of configurations and frequent objects to reduce load on the database to a huge extent.
