Abhilash Narahari is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader with over 10 years of relevant experience. He is currently the Head of Commerce at ShareChat, a leading Indian social media platform. In his current role, Abhilash is responsible for driving the company's commerce strategy and growth. Prior to joining ShareChat, Abhilash co-founded and served as the CEO of Elanic, an online marketplace designed to enable small sellers to sell online. Under his leadership, Elanic achieved remarkable success, scaling to 500k monthly active users and generating a GMV of around $10 million per year. Abhilash also organically acquired 100k sellers with over 70% D-90 retention and doubled the e-commerce buyer conversion rate from inorganic app installs from 2.5% to 10%. He achieved all this while keeping the cost of acquisition less than $2 per new buyer. Abhilash drove the business, marketing, and finance functions at Elanic, leading the company till it was acquired by ShareChat. Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Abhilash worked as an Assistant Manager at ITC, where he gained valuable experience in operations and supply chain management. Abhilash holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) and M.Tech in Manufacturing Science, Industrial Engineering, and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
