Abhinandan Shah is an Advanced Analytics Director and Product Director with 17 years of industry experience in Business Analytics, Product Management, Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Warehousing, and Software Engineering. He is currently leading a 150-strong engineering function that manages Petabyte scale data products and performs analytics for traders, risk, and finance teams. He is also leading the product for Business Analytics, Data Fabric Controls, and driving enterprise capabilities such as Data Catalogue and Data Mesh. Previously, as Head of Machine Learning (Data Science) for Barclays UK Technology in India, Abhinandan built a 55-strong team of data scientists and data engineers from scratch. His key successes include a hyper-personalized recommender system for 13 million users, automated NLU-based insights, and a complaints propensity model for 24 million customers. Abhinandan has also worked as Senior Product Manager, Machine Learning, Head of Barclays Ventures, India, where he rebuilt a strategic data product/platform for Barclays UK and led the BUK machine learning team based in Pune. He also built and led the Barclays Ventures team in Pune, which helped Barclays ventures with data, platforms, and applying data science to building new revenue-driving products. Abhinandan has an Executive MBA from Bayes Business School, London, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from Savitribai Phule Pune University. He is an analytical thinker who enjoys solving problems, building innovative products and services, building high-performing teams, and mentoring young talent. He has excellent organizational and C-Suite presentation skills and is a public speaker who has spoken at top management schools, fintech events, and industry conferences around the world. He is a diversity advocate and has won the CEO's award for his efforts in diversity and inclusion as one of the co-founders of the "Women in Machine Learning" program. Abhinandan is also the regional co-chair for their gender Employee Resource Group WIN.
