Abhinav Bansal is a Commercial Real Estate professional with over a decade of experience in Investments, Operations, and Technology. He has worked extensively with pension funds, REITs, Real Estate investment managers, and CRE lenders, and has a deep understanding of the financial services sector. Abhinav has comprehensive experience in financial modeling, asset management, debt analysis, valuations, and underwriting of Real Estate assets. He is proficient in valuation techniques like Discounted Cash Flow, Income Capitalization, Sales Comparables, and Multiples Method. Abhinav has worked with some of the largest investment managers in North America on the implementation and adoption of portfolio management solutions for their financial modeling and reporting requirements. He is an effective communicator with excellent relationship management skills and has worked in multiple geographies. Abhinav holds an MBA degree from Schulich School of Business, where he took courses in Finance and Real Estate to build a strong foundation in this domain. Prior to his MBA, he consulted for an Automotive Finance company and a few Utilities in India. Currently, Abhinav is working as a Senior Financial Analyst at PIA Group USA, where he underwrites multifamily properties in the South East USA for the Acquisitions Team of PIA. He has developed acquisition and underwriting models for deal origination, researched Real Estate markets/submarkets, and drafted market research documents. He has also prepared offering memorandums and investor presentations, coordinated with investment bankers to raise capital, and leveraged relationships with brokers and property managers for gaining market intelligence on properties. Abhinav has previously worked as a Financial Analyst at MRI Investment Management Solutions, where he modeled property-level cash-flows to assist with the appraisal of portfolios worth USD 10 billion. He has also successfully reduced the internal valuation cycle to 1 month from 3 months for 4 real estate portfolios by performing quarterly asset valuation and validation process. Abhinav has also worked at Canada Lands Company as a Real Estate Analyst (Part-Time), where he assisted with financial modeling and due diligence for development projects and acquisitions. Abhinav has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Computer Science from UPTU and completed his secondary education from Delhi Public School. He is a Research Scientist and has relevant experience of 11.95 years.
