Abhinav Dua is a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II at Microsoft, specializing in Azure Compute. With over 6 years of relevant experience in the field, Abhinav has a proven track record of creating and implementing high-quality APIs and microservices that are scalable and efficient. Prior to joining Microsoft, Abhinav worked as a Senior Software Engineer at SailPoint, where he was responsible for independently creating specs and designs for APIs, implementing them, and owning the monitoring and deployments of these endpoints. He worked closely with product managers to establish timelines and groom features, and was instrumental in shipping numerous high-priority features and APIs to enhance Certifications and Access Request capabilities of the IdentityNow product. Abhinav was one of the first engineers to work on creating new microservices to move away from monolith architecture, and he created two highly scalable microservices from scratch that handle millions of events today. He was also the sole engineer responsible for boosting monitoring capabilities across all of IdentityNow product engineering by doing in-depth POC and owning the rollout of open-source monitoring framework. Abhinav also mentored interns every summer and provided mentorship to new members on the team. Abhinav holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, where he graduated in 2017.
