Abhinaya Shakthivel is a Global Talent Partner with over 15 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, specifically in the Scientific industry in Singapore and across Asia. With her passion and expertise, Abhinaya has built up a very strong network within her sector and has a deep understanding of the Health Care & Life Sciences sector across the region. She is currently working as a Senior Manager Talent Acquisition at Abbott, a global healthcare leader that helps people live more fully at all stages of life. In her role, she has hired close to 600 different kinds of roles and positions within Abbott and across all Divisions. Abhinaya is also leading University Relations and Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives in Singapore and is one of the core members of Women Leaders of Abbott. She had the opportunity to create Internship and Traineeship framework for Singapore and also to launch STEM high school internship in 2021. She is also working closely with CSR teams on building STEM programs for school and university students. She is also a train the trainer and delivers trainings to Hiring Managers on how to be the “Best in Class”. Prior to Abbott, Abhinaya was with RGF Singapore and Kelly Services where she primarily focused on the Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Diagnostics and Food & Nutrition sector. In her role as a Senior Consultant, she was responsible for the recruitment of candidates across the world for clients based in SEA. Abhinaya was also the lead recruiter for Professional & Technical Recruitment for a US Healthcare MNC and closed more than 100 technical positions in 1 year. She also assisted in the start-up of new plants in Singapore and in setting up of the R&D Innovation Center for Food companies. Abhinaya holds a Post Graduate Degree in Human Resource Management from the Southern Cross University, Australia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from the National University of Singapore. She is skilled in AWS, Search, infra, DevOps, Terraform, SRE, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Python, Docker, Elastic Search, Jenkins, Web, Senior Software Engineer, Ansible, test, qa, product manager, Research Scientist. With 14.78 years of relevant experience, Abhinaya is an advocate for STEM, DEI & CSR and is committed to helping people achieve their best health at every life stage.
