Abhiroop Tippavajjula is a graduate student pursuing an MS in Cybersecurity at Penn State University. With a keen interest in application development, problem-solving, and information security, Abhiroop is an open-minded individual with a mature and responsible approach to achieving his targets. As a security enthusiast, he is intrigued by the evolution of modern technologies employed in our everyday life and is keen on developing tools to test applications for vulnerabilities and enhance security to protect user privacy. Abhiroop has 3.93 years of relevant experience, including a tenure at ISRO as an Engineer involved in software development, system design, network administration, and automation of console operations. During this time, he developed skills in team-work management, entity coordination, and real-time project requirements accomplishment. Currently, Abhiroop is working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State College of Information Sciences and Technology, where he is involved in Security and Privacy in Cloud Systems. His responsibilities include developing an algorithm to detect cloud privacy conflicts with 100% accuracy and building a conflict detection engine application in Python using PyQt and MySQL. Abhiroop's past experience includes working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Penn State College of Information Sciences and Technology, where he coordinated as a teaching assistant to design lectures on online privacy for a class of 60 undergrad students. He also conducted code review for projects and held one-on-one sessions with students to troubleshoot assignments and project issues. Abhiroop holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering + Avionics from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations from Penn State University. Abhiroop's tech stack includes Python, MySQL, and software engineering, and he is actively looking for Summer'23 Internships to gain pertinent skillsets that empower him to educate and spread awareness about numerous cyber threats as well as build scalable technology solutions to real-world problems.
