Abhishek is a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer II at Amazon, with over 9 years of relevant experience in the field. He is an expert in various technologies, including software engineering, UI, web development, JavaScript, frontend and backend development, integration, Java, search, test, AngularJS, and DevOps. At Amazon, Abhishek is currently working on the Amazon Pay product, specifically on the APIv2 project. He has successfully delivered the next generation of Amazon Pay's highly scalable backend APIs, providing a new checkout experience to merchants and solution providers. Despite being new to Amazon and the Java ecosystem, Abhishek was able to complete the critical path code and take the product live from design in just four months, meeting hard deadlines and embracing all challenges. Prior to Amazon, Abhishek worked as a Software Engineer at Cisco, where he was involved in various projects, including Mobility Express and Spartan. He worked directly with customers to understand their needs and incorporate their input into the final solution. Abhishek also spearheaded the upgrade and migration of complete end-of-release viable Mobility Express & Spartan products to move to newer jQuery, KendoUI libraries smoothly. He designed and delivered web app features, wrote RESTful APIs in C, and communicated using JSON with the frontend built using AngularJS, Kendo UI, Javascript, jQuery, making network configuration and management easier for SME customers. Abhishek has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha. He has also worked in the oil and gas sector, using Agile and Scrum methodologies and conducting R&D on C++ using Rapid Application Development (RAD) and Prototyping. Abhishek is always seeking to expand his knowledge and skills, with the ultimate goal of world domination.
