Abhishek is a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon Web Services (AWS), with over 5 years of experience in software development. He started his career with the storage division team at Symantec, where he worked on building disaster recovery solutions for on-premise datacenters. Later, he joined a startup called BetaCraft, working on its flagship product, AppSurfer, which was later acquired by Media.Net, one of the largest contextual ad-tech companies. Abhishek completed his MS in Computer Science at the University of South Florida in Summer 2019, and completed his B.E in Information Technology from Pune Institute of Computer Technology, Pune, India in April 2014. He has also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of South Florida, where he researched network science and graph processing, using Python, Pandas, ElasticSearch, Neo4j, NetworkX, and SNAP for various implementations. He also worked on a DARPA project called SocialSim, which aims to find ways to simulate social networks in time taking into account influence of one social network on another. He submitted his thesis on cross-platform information transfer across online platforms using transfer entropy. Abhishek's current focus is on software development at AWS, where he has been working for the past two years. He has experience in dotNET, Docker, AWS, and web development. With a total of 7.11 years of relevant experience, Abhishek is a skilled software engineer with a deep understanding of software development, network science, and graph processing. He is a detail-oriented individual with a passion for solving complex problems and delivering high-quality software solutions.
