Abhishek Chandar is a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa, currently pursuing a Master of Computer Science with a concentration in Applied Artificial Intelligence. With a keen interest in software verification, natural language processing for software engineering, and AI for climate, Abhishek has gained hands-on knowledge of machine learning and deep learning algorithms. Abhishek has experience conducting research on AI meticulously and has strong development experience with RESTful applications. He has worked on back-end development using NodeJS and Java and is currently learning ML in production. Abhishek is a team player and is fluent in English, with a beginner's proficiency in French. Abhishek's technical skills include algorithms and data structures, software engineering, machine learning, SQL, and API. He is proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, and Javascript, and is familiar with Git, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenNLP, Tableau, Weka, Comet ML, and Postman. Currently working as a Developer Intern at braiyt ai inc., Abhishek's day-to-day responsibilities include understanding IoT motes, developing a network of IoT microcontrollers over a 5G network, designing a Kafka architecture to improve the efficiency of video streaming and analytics pipeline, and enabling multiple microcontrollers using AT commands to communicate over a 5G cellular network and send sensor data to a server for cloud analytics. Abhishek has previously worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa IoT Lab and as a Back End Developer at crio.do, where he worked on building a secure FTP application and backend development for a stock market portfolio application using Java. He implemented algorithms and data structures to store raw data from different stock data APIs and worked on the serialization of API data Jackson. Abhishek holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from SRM University and is expected to complete his Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa in 2023. With a relevant experience of 1.26 years, Abhishek's tech stack includes AI, research scientist, ML, backend, SQL, Java, deep learning, Kafka, Javascript, TensorFlow, PyTorch, NodeJS, and Python.
