Abhishek Gaurav is a highly skilled and self-taught technology professional with over 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, data science, and product management. He is currently working as an Assistant Tech Lead at Okcredit, where he leads agile engineering teams to deliver quality products. Abhishek has a passion for building products that can scale and has a proven track record of building scaled-up B2C products that he owns completely. Abhishek has built experimental products for tier-3 MSMEs at Okcredit, including Okshop, an ecommerce-enabling software suite that scaled to 1M users, and OkMart, a delivery-only online supermart that achieved 12L monthly GMV within 6 months. He has also led product for few Data Science-driven features, such as Voice-first ledger entries and business insights dashboard. Before joining Okcredit, Abhishek worked as a Web Application Developer at Okcredit and as a Cofounder & CTO at Queens, a fashion shopping app for small town women of India. At Queens, Abhishek built end-to-end tech single-handedly for new-to-internet users, including recommendation of products based on user’s fashion taste using Hybrid Collaborative Filtering, fast & scalable automated database ingestion from highly unstructured data on WhatsApp groups using Selenium-Webdriver, Image Hashing and ML-based classification, and Conversational-selling-Bot on WhatsApp using Google DialogFlow with feedback loop. Abhishek holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He has a diverse tech stack that includes Python, Golang, Kubernetes, Data Scientist, Integration, AWS, Selenium, ML, Web, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Redis, Docker, Javascript, Research Scientist, and GCP. Abhishek is a curious, self-taught, and agile learner who is always looking to build for the future. He is passionate about brainstorming new ideas and is known for his ability to deliver quality products at a rapid pace. Abhishek's recent work includes building BBMP's covid swab collection app in just 2 days at the peak of Delta wave.
