Abhishek Kar is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 9 years of experience in the tech industry. Currently working at Teletracking, Abhishek is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications that meet the company's needs. He has a strong background in Big Data and Machine Learning, which has helped him excel in his current role. Prior to joining Teletracking, Abhishek worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Big Data Analytics course (11-676) at Carnegie Mellon University. In this role, he was responsible for managing classes, resolving student queries, managing Piazza, planning course structure, and researching/creating tools for smooth execution of course assignments. Abhishek's experience at CMU has given him a unique perspective on the tech industry and has helped him develop a strong understanding of the latest trends in Big Data and Machine Learning. In addition to his work at CMU, Abhishek also worked as a Machine Learning Intern at Tecumseh Vision. In this role, he collected Optical coherence tomography eye images and used them for detection and classification of Age-related Macular Degeneration. He used a TensorFlow CNN overlayed on Google's Inception Model to perform transfer learning on the sample dataset of 2000 images and achieved an accuracy of 86%. This experience has given Abhishek a strong foundation in Machine Learning and has helped him develop his skills in this area. Abhishek holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in a variety of technologies, including Software Engineering, Big Data, ML, CNN, and TensorFlow. Abhishek is a highly motivated individual who is passionate about his work and is always striving to learn and grow in his field.
