Abhishek Kumar is a Software Engineer IV at Cisco with almost 10 years of experience in the field. He is passionate about programming and enjoys solving programming puzzles. Abhishek has a great interest in network security and in general network and wants to contribute to both the technical and business aspects of software development. Currently, Abhishek is working on the Next Generation Firewall Configuration tool. He aspires to move towards Product Management and Marketing in the long term so that he can realize his ideas as an engineer into some product. Abhishek has previously worked as a Software Engineer III at Cisco, where he worked on a product called CSM (Cisco Security Manager). This product helps to configure, monitor, and deploy security solutions for Firewalls, VPN, and Security Appliances such as ASA. Before joining Cisco, Abhishek worked as a Senior Engineer at Honeywell, where he analyzed requirements, designed software solutions, and implemented and tested the implemented solution. Abhishek has a strong educational background, having completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Manipal Institute of Technology. He also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from BITS. Abhishek is currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics & Intelligence with a focus on Data Science from IIM. Abhishek has a diverse tech stack that includes Software Engineering, Product Management, and Testing. With almost a decade of relevant experience, Abhishek is a valuable asset to any team he works with.
