Abhishek Kumar is a highly motivated and skilled individual with expertise in web development, software engineering, and research science. He is currently working as a Mentor in the Student Mentorship Program, an initiative under the aegis of the Dean of Students’ Welfare at IIT Roorkee. He aims to foster healthy senior-junior interaction to make the transition into campus life easier for the incoming freshmen. Abhishek is committed to ensuring that new students adjust promptly to the institute culture by providing in-person interaction with experienced senior year students. This approach makes opportunities more accessible to them and fosters their personality development. Abhishek has over 1.93 years of relevant experience in his field. He has previously worked as a Web Developer at the Department of Earth Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He has also worked as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, where he worked on a project entitled "Impact of Climate Change on Rainfall Variability Using TRMM Data for the Indus-Ganga-Brahmaputra Major River Basins." He generated GeoTiff images of mean-weekly, mean-monthly, and mean-yearly rainfall data for the duration of 2000 to 2018. He analyzed the impact of rainfall due to climate change that has happened. Abhishek has a degree in Integrated Master of Technology in Geophysical Technology from IIT. He has also completed his schooling from DAV Centenary Public School, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, and DAV Public School, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. Abhishek's tech stack includes web development, software engineering, and research science. He is a highly motivated individual who is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow.
