Abhishek Kumar is a highly accomplished technology leader in the healthcare industry, with a proven track record of success as a 2-times entrepreneur. He is an alumni of IIT Roorkee and ISB Hyderabad, and has over 17 years of relevant experience in the field. Abhishek is currently serving as the Chief Product & Technology Officer at HealthAssure, where he is responsible for making primary care accessible and affordable to all. He leads a team that services large insurance companies, corporates for their employee wellness, and customers at a retail level. He has played a pivotal role in curating India’s first personalized OPD health plans, which offer a variety of benefits ranging from diagnostics to elderly care home services. Prior to his current role, Abhishek co-founded and served as the CTO of BeatO, a comprehensive full-stack diabetes management platform. He was responsible for designing and architecting the building blocks of the entire solution, including the aux-based glucometer, connected mobile apps, and monitoring & analytics dashboards. He also oversaw product development and management from ideation to scale, which included user journeys, digital marketing, adoption, retention, growth, analytics, B2B partnerships, and fund raising. Abhishek has also worked with pharmaceutical majors Dr. Reddy’s and Biocon in managing business unit P&L for North Asian territories for API and formulations division. He has experience liaising with big customers such as Ericsson, HP, IBM, Posco, and government agencies such as RTA Dubai, FTA Ethiopia, and RTA Australia, among others. Abhishek is a founding director of Madpiggy, an O2O (Offline to Online) deal discovery platform for hyperlocal e-commerce from neighborhood stores. He used beacon and geo-fencing technologies to let users discover deals and expanded to build online stores for nearby stores and users. Abhishek holds a PGP from ISB and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from IIT. He completed his AISSCE from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Darbhanga. He has a strong tech stack, including senior software engineering, mobile, UI, and product management.
