Abhishek Narula is a seasoned technologist and management professional with over 22 years of versatile experience in building software products catering to CyberSecurity, Business Continuity (HA/DR), Storage Management, Cloud Integrations, and 3D graphics applications. He has built six products, from concept to building the team to delivering to the market, and has switched caps between the hands-on engineer, lead, and techno-people-manager, adapting as needed. Abhishek is recognized for his leadership and coaching skills and is well-connected with the top talents of the industry. Abhishek's domain experience includes CyberSecurity, Cloud Products, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Storage management software, Virtualized Environments, and 3D graphics. He has contributed to the development of Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), Storage Foundation for Windows (SFW-HA), and built Symantec ApplicationHA product that works on VMware, HyperV, and RHEL. Abhishek has also developed an application for interior designers to visualize interiors in a photo-realistic manner. Currently, Abhishek is the Chief Technology Officer (SOAR Business Unit) and Vice President of Engineering at Fortinet, where he has delivered Private Cloud Software with unique software-defined storage characteristics on Hyper Converged Platform. His responsibilities include building the software with a team spread across the USA, China, and India, ensuring timely delivery to key alpha and lighthouse customers, building and managing the team (Dev and QA both), and defining and building User Experience (including the GUI). Abhishek's past companies include Cybersponse, where he was the Chief Technology Officer and transformed the company from selling the product to selling the solution, leading the way to acquisition by Fortinet, and Veritas, where he was the Senior Engineering Manager and continued to build the ultra-scale storage layer for OpenStack. Abhishek holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Application from the School of Management and Technology and Computer Certification from IBM Ace. He also completed XII th grade from Ingraham Institute. Abhishek's tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, QA, and Azure.
