Abhishek Raj is a Robotics Engineer in Test at Miso Robotics, with a passion for developing autonomous systems and robotics. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Robotics Software Development from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Abhishek has extensive experience in developing software packages for autonomous robots on mapped terrains using Python and ROS. His project focused on self-driving car technology, with a particular emphasis on perception, localization, and mapping, as well as path planning and deep learning. Abhishek is highly skilled in Robotics, Deep Learning, C++, Python, PyTorch, ROS, Matlab, Sensor Fusion, SLAM, Perception, Path Planning, Motion Control, Decision Making, Kinematics, and Embedded Programming. He also has hardware experience working with Maxxon EPOS4 Controllers, Maxxon ec90 motors, and Advantech Motion Controllers. Abhishek has worked on several projects in his past companies, including designing and simulating a home service robot using C++ and ROS, estimating a robot's position relative to a known map of the environment with Monte Carlo Localization (MCL) Algorithm in C++, creating a Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) implementation with ROS packages and C++, and developing a Dijkstra Path planning and Navigation code in C++ and ROS for a home service robot that can transport objects autonomously. He has also worked on designing and manufacturing housing for motors using Solidworks CAD modeling and FEA on Ansys workbench, designing a PID state machine for Mobile Actuator Control in MATLAB, and implementing EtherCAT communication to control EPOS motors by coding it in C++. Abhishek holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
