Abhishek Sinha is a highly experienced Director of Product Management at Amazon Web Services (AWS), with over 21 years of relevant experience. He is currently leading the Product Management & Developer Advocacy Team for Amazon EMR, a fully-managed service that simplifies how customers run open source big data applications such as Apache Spark, Presto, and Hive on AWS. Abhishek was also the founding PM for Amazon Athena, a serverless query engine that allows you to process data from S3-based data lakes. Prior to joining AWS, Abhishek worked as a field solution architect at HP, where he was responsible for establishing and leading the execution of sales and business development strategy for top 10 Enterprise Oil and Gas accounts across APJ. He also worked as a System Design Engineer at California Digital Corporation, where he designed High Performance Computing Solutions for customers in Bio-informatics, Oil and Gas, and Universities. Abhishek holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Dharmsihn Desai University, where he graduated in 2001. He is highly skilled in product management, AWS, web technologies, Spark, Amazon Athena, big data, senior software engineering, and Apache Hive. As the Director of Product Management at Amazon, Abhishek is responsible for leading the Product Management & Developer Advocate Team for Amazon EMR.
