Abin Paul is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with over 13 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is the Founder of Palmnote, a company that aims to bring educators closer to students, families, and followers. Abin is responsible for leading the company, overseeing its operations, and ensuring that it delivers on its mission. Prior to founding Palmnote, Abin worked at Perk as the VP of Engineering/Operations. He led a vibrant engineering team consisting of Backend, FrontEnd, Mobile, QA, Analytics, and Customer Support engineers. Abin's team took care of Perk APIs, Micro Services, Internal Tools, Big Data Analytics, Automated Processes, and a number of other engineering initiatives. They worked to keep the various high traffic Perk systems functional and push out the features without affecting the production users. Abin's expertise in modern technologies, test-driven development, well-defined coding standards, CI/CD, various error tracking mechanisms, and advanced analytics tools helped keep the systems running without any downtime. Abin also worked as a Software Engineer at ARS Traffic & Transport Technology (India), a subsidiary of ARS T&TT Netherlands. He was responsible for developing one of the backend analytics dashboards for transportation data. This tool loaded transportation data from various sources, which had hundreds of millions of data every day. Abin's team completed the project within four months. To improve the performance and reduce the hits to the expensive master databases, they added multiple ETL scripts and caching solutions.
