Adam Gilgoff is a seasoned frontend software engineer with over 12 years of experience in the tech industry. Currently working at Brigade as a Software Engineer, Adam has a strong focus on frontend web development and a deep understanding of the world of Javascript. His recent experience includes working with React and Node, while he has also worked with Angular, Backbone, and Rails in the past. Before joining Brigade, Adam worked at GoPro as a Software Engineer, where he built cool stuff using React, Node, and other Javascript technologies. He also worked with Angular and Rails, gaining valuable experience in different frontend technologies. Prior to that, he was a Web Development Student at App Academy, where he learned Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, SQL, and other DSLs over nine weeks. During his time at App Academy, Adam built many small projects in pairs and completed one significant capstone project over the final two weeks. He entered the program with minimal programming experience and came out with a solid understanding of building Rails apps. Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of British Columbia. His education background combined with his technical skills gives him a unique perspective on software engineering.
