Adam Isom is a full-stack software engineer with a focus on backend development and extensive experience in web technologies such as AWS, Ruby on Rails, SQL, JavaScript, React, Git, and shell scripting. He co-created Haven, an open-source developer tool that simplifies secrets management for small teams. Adam's most recent role was at GoDaddy, where he worked on the Re:amaze team and contributed to the development of e-commerce products for a large and diverse user base. He collaborated cross-team in an Agile environment and implemented webhooks, integrated Meta's Messenger API for Instagram, and worked on a 600k-LOC Rails app using React, jQuery, AWS, and Sidekiq. He also started weekly brown-bag tech talk meetings to share knowledge and have fun. Adam has experience working remotely and is open to relocation for the right opportunity. He is currently working as a Senior Engineer, Platform at ibotta, inc. Adam's previous experience includes co-creating and working as a software engineer at Haven Secrets Manager, where he designed, prototyped, and built the Haven Core backend, implemented secure secrets storage, enabled team management features, and solved problems using AWS Lambda, AWS KMS, and Node.js. He also contributed to the design and development of every part of the project, from the React dashboard to the Node.js CLI to the use of AWS CloudFormation to set up cloud infrastructure. Adam holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Western Governors University and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Utah.
