Adams Dennis Kariuki is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience in the field. Currently working at Lantern, he is responsible for implementing front-end designs using GatsbyJS, migrating the existing REST API to GraphQL, developing new features for the Laravel app, and conducting code reviews. Prior to his role at Lantern, Adams worked at Andela as a Software Engineer where he developed and maintained systems using various technologies including React Native, ReactJS, Javascript, Node, Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, PostgreSQL, and Java. He also contributed to open-source projects such as OpenMRS, an open-source electronic medical records storage and retrieval system, and was involved in the recruitment and mentoring of software developers. At Starcity, Adams worked as a Software Engineer where he developed a web-based system in React/NodeJS/GraphQL to manage the leasing of rooms/studios to tenants and a mobile application in React Native/NodeJS/GraphQL to allow members/tenants to communicate with each other, seek assistance, RSVP to events, and access services from the managing company. He also mentored and onboarded software developers and participated in the creation of goals for the engineering team.
