Adarsh Baluni is a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon Alexa, specifically working with the Alexa Voice Service team. With over 7 years of relevant experience, Adarsh is primarily a backend software engineer that works on developing new and improving existing web services that support AVS. He works with the team that is responsible for driving Alexa registrations and engagement on third-party devices through product features, customer experience, and technical services across AVS. Prior to working with AVS, Adarsh worked with the Amazon Forecasting team to build Amazon-scale big data platform services and software which developers & scientists use to create Forecasting applications, and the tooling required to use those systems and software, including experimentation tools. With that team, he got the opportunities of working on large scale clusters that run Hadoop and Spark applications and AWS services on a daily basis. Adarsh is highly customer-obsessed and all of his development is driven backwards from the customer. Working with the AVS team also gives him opportunities to work with Front End development using React JS. He has also worked on web development and backend services that run AVS Developer Console, which enables third-party (3P) developers to onboard Alexa to their devices, submit and view their test results and see their device get certified and to be called an "Alexa enabled" device. Adarsh's education background includes a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Information Technology from Savitribai Phule Pune University. He also completed his High School education from Kendriya Vidyalaya.
