Adarsh Khare is a seasoned engineering leader with over 27 years of experience in the technology industry. He is currently serving as the Senior Director of Security Engineering at Salesforce, where he leads a globally diverse team of engineers in delivering critical security services in the Identity and Access Management domain. Adarsh is responsible for developing long-range plans, architecture and technical strategy, delivering continuous innovation, and monitoring his feature areas, which include securing Salesforce Hyperforce infrastructure, M&A integration, FedRAMP, data protection, and privilege access enablement. Adarsh has a deep understanding of the reality of keeping the business running while simultaneously reinventing the core systems. He is passionate about making the world a more secure and better place through the magic of software and data insights. Prior to joining Salesforce, Adarsh spent 18 years at Microsoft and eBay in various engineering leadership roles. During his tenure, he led the architecture, design, and delivery of technologies ranging from e-commerce, unified communications, control systems, and developer platforms. At Salesforce, Adarsh has built several security services in the area of IAM, including multi-factor authentication, privileged access gateway, credentials management, service-to-service authentication, and SSH certificate services. He has also led the team to enable secure privileged access for Salesforce cloud services in private and public clouds. Adarsh is driving initiatives around standardizing IAM-as-a-service platform and building the foundation of Security controls data platform. Adarsh has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington, Michael G. Foster School of Business, a Master of Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Shri G S Institute of Technology & Science. He has a strong technical background in Salesforce, integration, infrastructure, backend, test, QA, and product management.
