Adetola Salau is a Senior Special Assistant on Education to the Governor of Lagos State, with a major focus on STEM (STEAM) Education. With over 15 years of relevant experience, Adetola is a highly skilled education professional with a proven track record of excellence in curriculum development and implementation, instructional services, staff development programs, and textbook adoption processes. As the Founder of Carisma4u Educational Foundation, Adetola planned and supervised curriculum development and implementation, ensuring the provision of centralized instructional services. She also supervised and directed the work of subject coordinators, specialists, and resource teachers, provided advice and counsel for lecturers and principal officers on matters pertaining to instruction, and directed the planning, development, field-testing, and evaluation of curriculum. Adetola managed the textbook adoption process, directed the publication and provision of division-wide instructional-related staff development, and contributed to the proposal and implementation of college courses to support curriculum development or program implementation. Prior to her work in education, Adetola served as a Project Engineer at Field Offshore Design Engineering, where she was instrumental in the effective and efficient management of projects. She participated in launch meetings with project management and contract teams to contain costs, estimate progress, and initiate change. Adetola also directed the company's ISO 9001:2008 certification process and accreditation, planned, coordinated, and co-led monthly HSE meetings, and authored and reviewed all QADC manuals and procedures for the company. Adetola holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and the Science of Learning from the University at Buffalo, as well as a Certificate in New Ventures Leadership from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She also earned a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Fordham University.
