Adil Irfan is a Senior SDE at AWS with a passion for designing and developing performance-driven systems. With over 5 years of experience solving engineering problems at scale for companies like Amazon, Qualcomm, and Siemens, Adil has become an expert in C, CPP, Java, NoSQL, data structures and algorithms, high-level and low-level (object-oriented design), SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and Lambda. Currently serving as a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon, Adil has designed, led, and implemented a merchant website compliance solution for Amazon Pay. He also participates in and guides SDEs in design discussions and innovations. Prior to his current role, Adil worked as a Software Engineer at Amazon, where he focused on uplifting financial transparency for Amazon Pay merchants by introducing different types of reports. Before joining Amazon, Adil worked as an Engineer at Qualcomm, where he implemented a generic package that maintains database mapping based on MAC address, enabling other protocols/tunnels like L2-bridge to use this database. He also implemented an L3+L4 database so that tunnels like CAPWAP and VxLAN do not have to rewrite code to maintain this information, ultimately enabling VxLAN tunnels. Adil holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, which he completed in 2017. His extensive experience and education have given him a deep understanding of software engineering, AWS, NoSQL, Java, and C. Overall, Adil has 6.20 years of relevant experience as a software engineer and is passionate about taking end-to-end responsibility for envisioning, designing, and developing performance-driven systems.
