Aditya Bharadwaj is a highly skilled Software Engineer 2 with over 3 years of experience in the industry. Currently, he is working at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer 2, where he is responsible for building platform level functionality that enables Amazon businesses to charge their customers on a recurring basis using the UPI payment method. Aditya has also contributed to various UI experiments on the Your Transactions page of Amazon Pay, enriching data from various sources at the backend, resulting in an estimated reduction of customer care contacts by ~121k. Aditya is an expert in AWS, ECS, Microservices, UI, Backend, and Infra. He has created an AWS ECS Fargate microservice with Amazon's internal RPC framework from scratch, handling the complete infrastructure, authentication, authorization, and setting up logs, metrics, and alarms while maintaining high software engineering standards. He has also improved the latency of a payment processing API by ~4.5 seconds, a feature that is currently being used by internal clients at Amazon. Prior to Amazon, Aditya worked as a Software Development Engineer at the same company, where he mentored interns and new joiners and served as their onboarding buddy. Aditya has also worked as a Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Science, where he used various machine learning techniques to determine band gap and band alignment properties of 2D nano materials. He tested and compared new approaches, presented analysis, and came up with insights on how to improve accuracies of existing approaches. He also used Reinforcement Learning in non-stationary environments to optimize the MCMC algorithm, working on markov chains, MDPs, Baum Welch algorithm, Partially observable MDPs, Point Based Value Iteration to devise an approach that models the Markov Chain as a non-stationary environment.
