Aditya Gupta is a highly skilled software engineer and researcher with a passion for building and managing scalable backend systems on cloud infrastructure. He has a strong background in low-level systems, including programming languages, compilers, architecture, high-performance computing, and operating systems. Aditya is currently working as a Software Engineer Intern at Verily (formerly Google Life Sciences, now under Alphabet), where he has created a metric collection service in Golang and integrated it with Prometheus and Grafana to visualize insights into the internal centralized IaC GitOps DevOps portal over GCP. He has also worked on deploying the system using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Skaffold, and Kustomize. Aditya's previous experience includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, where he worked on the Gibbon compiler in Haskell for high-level functional programs to operate on serialized data. He added a static code analyzer pass to annotate IR to help improve the memory manager and garbage collection and wrote benchmarks to evaluate the effectiveness of the new generational garbage collector. Aditya also extended the frontend with nested tuples, qualified imports, and wildcards in case constructs and fixed around 20 bugs in the compiler spanning 8-10 compiler passes, build system, frontend, and backend. Aditya has also worked as a Software Developer at Dhani Loans & Healthcare Services, where he led a team of 8-10 people working on designing and implementing the backend system for a supply-chain-based e-commerce portal, Yaari.com. He used Python FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes and built product search using Elasticsearch & Logstash. Aditya also built a catalog upload and image processing pipeline using Celery and Redis and worked on the backend of a doctor-patient consultation app using Python Flask (CRUD APIs). He also built an admin portal using Node Express for uploading doctor data. Aditya has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar. He has also completed his Class XI, XII from Step by Step High School, Jaipur, and Class IX, X from Central Academy Schools. Aditya is an NTS & KVPY Fellow and an Expert at Codeforces 1710.
